We are thrilled to welcome Karin Kanewske Turner (Birnie) as Strategic Advisor to Children for Health.
Karin brings over 25 years of global health leadership to our mission of sharing knowledge and saving lives. She has held senior roles at USAID, The Aurum Institute, and BroadReach, leading multi-country programmes across Africa – focused on infectious disease, health systems strengthening, and community based health delivery. She currently serves as Chair of Population Matters, contributing to important conversations on the links between population dynamics, climate sustainability, and biodiversity.
What makes Karin’s involvement particularly meaningful to us is her long-standing belief in the role of communities and children as active agents of change. Her experience in embedding evidence informed health innovations within public systems, working alongside Ministries of Health, and building partnerships across sectors brings valuable perspective to CfH as we continue to strengthen child centred approaches to prevention and health literacy.
We are grateful to have her alongside us. Welcome, Karin!
